The paper regards a critical reading of Gino Avena's works, an architect operating in Naples in the 30s, made through metric surveys and graphical analysis of some significant projects. There are no specific studies on the subject, but only synthetic references in treatises of a general nature. The research was based on the analysis of original drawings kept in public and private archives, compared with the results of metric surveys, making explicit the correspondence of the process connecting the figured space and the architectural space.
