Starting from Nietzsche and his innovative concept of world play [Weltspiel], this paper aims at discussing the main aspects of the question of play in the contemporary ontological-hermeneutical philosophy. In this speculative framework, the play takes on the features of an ontological dimension that intends to overcome every metaphysical subjectivism and objectivism. Heidegger reaffirms this approach especially in the latter part of his work by proposing the concept of play as a nexus of correspondences and relations, while Gadamer tries to demonstrate above all that «all playing is a being-played [Alles Spielen ist ein Gespielt-werden]» by identifying play with an event, in which subjectivity and world meet each other always in context. In order to support this argument, it is necessary to recognize the intrinsic temporality of the event just as Wittgenstein argues in his famous theory of language games.

Abstract
In order to support this argument, it is necessary to recognize the intrinsic temporality of the event just as Wittgenstein argues in his famous theory of language games.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
