The technological development in survey techniques and the specific connection to the valorization of cultural heritage, define the framework in which the investigation is described. The case study is represented by the ancient compound of Stabiae, a site not yet completely disclosed and less enhanced, especially the complex of villa San Marco. About these architectures, the authors describe the fact-finding steps, starting to the further transformations since to the surveying investigations, finalized to the analysis of decorative elements.
