L’evoluzione del pensiero politico in María Zambrano: l’esperienza quale fonte di riflessione politica e filosofica

Albeit critically neglected, the political component plays a substantial role in Zambrano’s thought nourished by the philosopher’s vital experience. The analysis then moves through the life of the philosopher and her “political” works. From Horizonte del liberalismo (1930) to Persona y democracia (1958), through La agonía de Europa (1945) and Los intelectuales en el drama de España (1937 edition and the one included in Senderos ), we can follow the evolution of Zambrano’s political thought. The synthesis is the saber padeciendo, as a result of the passive historical experience, emerging in El hombre y lo divino and in the dichotomies of intrahistoria-infrahistoria and persona-personaje, both revealing the authenticity in their first respective part and in the second one the category of the inautheticity of action in the history.
