This Special Issue on Software Aging and Rejuvenation (SAR) contains five papers, some of which are extended versions of papers presented at WoSAR 2010, the second edition of the WoSAR series, that was held in San Jose, CA, in November 2010. The papers address several issues that are highlighted as open problems in SAR in [4], ranging from static and dynamic software analysis in relationship to aging, to the definition of more efficient rejuvenation approaches and the experimental evaluation of rejuvenation techniques. An interesting novel aspect of SAR research, addressed by some of the papers, is related to the spread of virtualization environments.

Abstract
This Special Issue on Software Aging and Rejuvenation (SAR) contains five papers, some of which are extended versions of papers presented at WoSAR 2010, the second edition of the WoSAR series, that was held in San Jose, CA, in November 2010. The papers address several issues that are highlighted as open problems in SAR in [4], ranging from static and dynamic software analysis in relationship to aging, to the definition of more efficient rejuvenation approaches and the experimental evaluation of rejuvenation techniques. An interesting novel aspect of SAR research, addressed by some of the papers, is related to the spread of virtualization environments.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
