The integrated North Atlantic Oscillation (INAO) is here found to be strictly related to Northern hemisphere sea surface temperature on time scales of up to several years. The results give the feasibility of using INAO as precursor of climatic changes and predicting a gradual decline in global warming starting from the current decade.
