Abstract

To transform the places in tourist destinations, and then, in regional innovation hubs, you must clearly explain the elements of coherence of the system and intervene on the organizational constraints that are likely to weigh down, slow down and affect the change in act. This evolution brings a reorganization and a recomposition of touristic spaces and them geographical, cultural and environmental paradigms to obtain a new and different perception. In this process cultural emergencies become the main elements of development policies. In the era of post modernity and cultural impoverishment, is increasingly felt the need for disclosure and communication cultural heritage that, however, needs to be combined with the principles of economic sustainability' and social responsibility to be realized , mainly, through an increase in flows and active participation of local components aware of the social significance of this heritage. Furthermore, all the processes of development and promotion are inevitably oriented to preserve the cultural value of the heritage that can not be folded and subjected to the only use and consumption, but instead, should be an inspiring element of a coherent planning. This does not involve an alteration of the philological value of the heritage, but rather, an enhancement factor of communication of information and tourist's knowledge and experience. In this perspective the focus is centered on the set of interventions and actions that reinforce the functional components of a process of contextualization, and on a deeper understanding of the sense and meaning and, ultimately, on the "value" of the heritage object of attention. The contribution proposed here fits into this scenario that indicates the widespread awareness of seeking ways and means of communication consistent with the cultural sensibilities of our time and intends to investigate, through the study of specific cases related to archaeological tourism, the potential of these policies in activation of developmen processes and regional innovation.
