IBC represents a particular clinical type of breast cancer characterized by an high aggressiveness with a poor prognosis. A combined therapeutical approach (chemotherapy, surgery, radiotherapy and hormonotherapy is necessary to obtain a better control of disease and to improve the prognosis. In the last years a new therapeutical strategy (neoadjuvant chemotherapy followed by surgery and then maintenance chemotherapy + radiotherapy) has been activated with our departments. Satisfactory results, either for disease-free survival or for over-all survival, have been found.
