The paper presents the structural and functional rehabilitation of an industrial building, dated early 1900, in Naples (Italy). The building was originally a thermo-electrical power plant. It had a former steel structure that during time underwent some modifications: it was damaged during the 2nd world war, then repaired and extended. Nowadays the building is degraded because unused and abandoned for a long time. The rehabilitation planning has been devoted on one hand to retrofit the existing steel structure, on the other hand to adapt it according to the new destination of use of the building, as multisports centre. In this paper the actual state of the construction is briefly depicted and the structural-functional modification presented.
