The effect on the glass transformation temp. and the elec. cond. of small substitutions of Al2O3, B2O3, and La2O3 for P2O5 in glasses of the system Ag2O-P2O5 was studied. All are effective in increasing both properties, with the greatest increases obtained by substituting Al2O3. The exptl. results indicate that B2O3 acts as a network former and Al2O3 as a network modifier.

Abstract
