Nb-Al-AlOx-Al-Nb-Al-AlOx-Nb Josephson Tunnel structures have been fabricated and investigated. The configuration of such structures allows to measure separately top and bottom junctions, i.e. injection and detection junctions respectively. Current-voltage characteristics have been measured at temperatures down to 1.2 K for different values of the injection current. The detection efficiency of the device has been also investigated in order to get information about the nonequilibrium relaxation processes which take place into a steady-state non-equilibrium Nb layer.

Abstract
