Diffusion coeffs. in the ternary system α-cyclodextrin (at one concn.)-(DL)-norleucine (at three concns.)-water have been measured using the Gouy interferometric technique. The effect of the inclusion equil. on the cross-term diffusion coeffs. was obsd. The measured diffusion coeffs. in the ternary systems were used to calc. values of the binding const. These values are in good agreement with that obtained from calorimetric studies.
