Abstract

It is shown that the equation for the current flowing on a cylindrical antenna Pocklington's integral equation - can be put into 'a standard form' of dual integral equations, A general method for solving such dual integral equations is discussed, It consists of a transformation into single Fredholm integral equation of the second kind with continuous kernel, and then into a linear system of algebraic equations by using the weighted residual method. Plots of the current along the antenna and of the input admittance are finally given.
