The aim of this paper is to present, for the very first time, an approach for the synthesis of antennas, in particular, the phase-only synthesis of aperiodic, microstrip reflectarrays (APOS), accelerated by parallel programming on GPUs. In order to enable fast code development by guaranteeing, at the same time, high performance computing, the APOS approach has been implemented, in this work, as a Matlab code accelerated by mex files written in CUDA language.

Abstract
