A ordered nanostructure formed by epitaxial crystallization of a semicrystalline block copolymer is used as patterned template for the selective deposition of thermally evaporated gold nanoparticles, resulting in a long-range order in the positioning of functional nanoparticles, guided by the order of the nanostructured matrix.

Abstract
