The paper describes results of random wave experiments conducted at the University of Naples; Purpose of the investigation was to analyze the hydraulic performance of rubble mound breakwaters armored with relatively new concrete units named ECOPODE. The role of the relative water depth in wave reflection and of the Momentum Flux Parameter for wave run-up have been highlighted and discussed.
