The paper describes the results obtained at the end of the course of "Fundamentals and Methods of Engineering Design". The students learn an integrated design approach based on TRIZ methodology in the phase of concept generation, aimed at product innovation. The teamwork experience contributes the developing of new creative ideas that are submitted to a participatory evaluation to win a classroom contest.
