bdim: the Italian Digital Mathematical Library

In this paper we describe the ongoing project of an italian digital mathematical library. The purpose of the project is to distribute online the italian mathematical journals (but not only journals) willing to join the project. The project is still growing, it is of interest for the whole mathematical community. I have been coordinating the project and actually developing, engeneering and implementing the repository, the (XML based) database and the web site (available at the address http://www.bdim.eu/). In the paper the project is presented, and it is given an outline of the architecture of the repository, database and of the implementation of the web site.
