The work deals with the study of bioincrustations of several monuments. Microorganisms composing the bioincrustations were identified by using optical and electron microscopy, as well as by a molecular approach and a SEM microanalysis. Cyanobacteria and algae resulted the main components of the bioincrustations. A technique based on the use of microwaves is proposed to eliminate the bioincrustations.

Abstract
The work deals with the study of bioincrustations of several monuments. Microorganisms composing the bioincrustations were identified by using optical and electron microscopy, as well as by a molecular approach and a SEM microanalysis. Cyanobacteria and algae resulted the main components of the bioincrustations. A technique based on the use of microwaves is proposed to eliminate the bioincrustations.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
