This special issue of Geophysical Prospecting is a collection of 23 papers presented at the international workshop ‘Innovation in EM, Grav and Mag Methods, A New Perspective for Exploration’ held from 15–18 April 2007 in Capri (Italy). The workshop, organized by the Italian EAGE-SEG Section, addressed topics of high interest to the exploration geophysics. In fact, gravity, magnetic and electromagnetic methods, known in the industrial world as ‘non-seismic methods’, are receiving new found interest from not only E&P companies but even from academia and research institutions. This interest has been created by new advances in instrumentation, involving often the simultaneous acquisition of large datasets, even of tensorial nature, and the related requirement for new kinds of analysis and modelling techniques, allowing large-scale, simultaneous and/or multidimensional data inversion.

Abstract
This interest has been created by new advances in instrumentation, involving often the simultaneous acquisition of large datasets, even of tensorial nature, and the related requirement for new kinds of analysis and modelling techniques, allowing large-scale, simultaneous and/or multidimensional data inversion.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
