Pulsed Nd:YAG laser was used in cutting operation on 1 mm CFRP plates at different cutting speed changing the pulse duration and the pulse energy. The aim was to study the process parameters influence on the kerf geometry and HAZ extension. It was found that a decrease of pulse duration allows to obtain high quality cutting and narrow HAZ.

Abstract
