A new synthesis technique, based on a phase-only scattering model, improving the frequency behavior of reflectarrays is proposed. The phase of the field reflected by each element and its frequency derivative are determined in order to satisfy the design constraints on a given bandwidth. The approach is compared with a straightforward one based on simply compensating the frequency dispersion of the space path feeding.

Abstract
