The aim of the paper is to describe a multimodal and multiuser assignment model in which parking and park-and-ride facilities are also explicitly included. An overview is presented on the issues related to the multimodal and multiuser assignment modeling as well as on the current multimodal approaches. The theoretical properties of the proposed model are discussed within an equilibrium approach. An equivalent minimisation problem is introduced and some algorithmic issues discussed.

Abstract

The aim of the paper is to describe a multimodal and multiuser assignment model in which parking and park-and-ride facilities are also explicitly included. An overview is presented on the issues related to the multimodal and multiuser assignment modeling as well as on the current multimodal approaches. The theoretical properties of the proposed model are discussed within an equilibrium approach. An equivalent minimisation problem is introduced and some algorithmic issues discussed.
