Abstract
Design of signalised junctions plays a crucial role within the whole network design problem. Different optimisation methods and models have been proposed in order to design junctions' parameters with respect to different objectives. However the great part of the proposed models are based on the hypothesis that junction flows are known and fixed. Few "equilibration" models have been proposed; that is models that take into account in a consistent way the effects of the design process on both the network users' behaviours (junctions' flows) and on junction performances' optimisation. Moreover, the great part of those models and/or algorithms are only able to deal with few design variables (such as green and cycle lengths), rather than with the whole set of the signal parametersI documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
