The present paper describes the application of the Water Analysis Simulation Program (WASP), a dynamic compartment modeling system developed by U.S. EPA, to a reach of a small water channel, tributary of the Garigliano river, Italy. The model was applied to simulate the DO balance. It was first calibrated with a data set and then it was verified with a new data set collected in a different season. The DO concentration data field were compared with model outputs, for different scenarios of hydrodynamic and environmental conditions

Abstract
The present paper describes the application of the Water Analysis Simulation Program (WASP), a dynamic compartment modeling system developed by U.S. EPA, to a reach of a small water channel, tributary of the Garigliano river, Italy. The model was applied to simulate the DO balance. It was first calibrated with a data set and then it was verified with a new data set collected in a different season.
