The aim of the study was to evaluate if doxorubicine and idarubicine were able to modify membrane fluidity and depolarization of canine and human breast cancer cells in vitro. The results appera to confirm the hypothesis that medroxyprogesterone acetate can be used to increase the activity of anthracyclines especially in cases of drug-resistance both in human and veterinary oncology, and suggest that the canine model can be used to study the effects of these antibiotics.

Abstract

The aim of the study was to evaluate if doxorubicine and idarubicine were able to modify membrane fluidity and depolarization of canine and human breast cancer cells in vitro. The results appera to confirm the hypothesis that medroxyprogesterone acetate can be used to increase the activity of anthracyclines especially in cases of drug-resistance both in human and veterinary oncology, and suggest that the canine model can be used to study the effects of these antibiotics.
