Gas transfer processes, such as absorption and volatilization, should be modeled to predict their rate to be applied in water quality and waste load allocation studies. In this paper, dimensional analysis of gas-transfer process for a turbulent flow in open channels is proposed. The derived functional form encompasses large-eddy and small-eddy models. These models are finally verified on the field data from 53 rivers.
