A new approach for determining the convex region including a system of sources of scatterers from a single frequency measurement of the radiated (near- or far-) field is presented. The technique exploits the Local Field Bandwidth concept and the sliding window trasform of the field to estimate the minimum angular sector including the sources as viewed from a given observation point. The envelope is obtained by processing all observation points.

Abstract

A new approach for determining the convex region including a system of sources of scatterers from a single frequency measurement of the radiated (near- or far-) field is presented. The technique exploits the Local Field Bandwidth concept and the sliding window trasform of the field to estimate the minimum angular sector including the sources as viewed from a given observation point. The envelope is obtained by processing all observation points.
