The influence of rotation on the stability of the conduction solution (motionless state) for the Bénard problem in a porous medium - in a generalized Boussinesq-Brinkman-Darcy scheme for stress-free boundary conditions - is studied. By introducing a natural balance field and using a suitable Liapunov function, we obtain the coincidence between critical Rayleigh numbers of linear and nonlinear stability, for any Taylor and Darcy numbers, under computable condition on the initial data.
