We present new Arnold diffusion results for non-isochronous, nearly integrable, a-priori unstable Hamiltonian systems with a (trigonometric polynomial) perturbation which does not preserve the unperturbed tori. We prove the existence of diffusion orbits with the optimal diffusion time. The approach is variational in nature.

Abstract
