The territory of tne ancient town of Iasos ( Caria, Turchia), was controlled by a complex system of small forifications and tower from the archai age until the fourth century B.C: During the hellenistic period a new very large fortification was added, probably to accomodate a foreign mercenaries garnison. During the survey a new plan has been produced, with a complete analysis of masonry and technical devices.
