The assessment of thermal environments according to EN ISO 7730 (CEN, 2005) requires, as known, the calculation of PMV, the index proposed by Fanger in 1970. If points of measurements in a same environment are more than one, Fanger suggests (1970) of calculating the mean PMV of the environment as the average value of PMV calculated in the every points, that is not so easy if the used data logger not to get directly the PMV value; the other choice is to measure the environmental parameters in the several positions, then calculate the average values of each parameter and then, on the basis of these ones, calculate the PMV value. In this contribution the two described methods are compared and discussed.
