Abstract
A simple and effective method allowing the localisation of metallic scatterers immersed in a dielectric inhomogeneous medium is proposed. Exploiting the new point source spectral content and local spectral content concepts, the observation of the scattered field collected on a polygonal scanning domain in permits to build a set of data related to the geometry, rather than other electromagnetic parameters, of the scattering system. In this way, the scatterer localisation can be performed without solving the full inverse problem. In order to prove the effectiveness of the technique, numerical results are shown in the case of a square observation domainI documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
