Tourism in Campania is characterized by a marked polarization between coastal areas, which are highly developed and subject to intense tourism pressure, and inland territories, where tourism intensity remains weaker and more fragmented. At the same time, in recent years digitalization has been playing an increasingly important role in the competitiveness and visibility of destinations, with a strong impact on the tourism sector as well. This article aims to analyze the relationship between digitalization and the geographies of tourism in Campania through an integrated approach that combines traditional tourism indicators with a composite index of digital maturity constructed using Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis (MCDA) techniques. The introduction of the digital-tourism gap makes it possible to identify divergences and potential for rebalancing, suggesting that digitalization may play a strategic role in territorial cohesion.

Abstract
The introduction of the digital-tourism gap makes it possible to identify divergences and potential for rebalancing, suggesting that digitalization may play a strategic role in territorial cohesion.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
