The integration of artificial intelligence into legal decision-making is transforming public and private organizations, redefining the allocation of responsibility and the structure of decision-making processes. This paper adopts an organizational perspective on the Jurist 4.0, understood as a key actor in the governance of automated decisions and as a mediator between technology, legal norms, and organizational frameworks. In the public sector, AI can improve efficiency and information processing but also creates tensions with principles such as legality, impartiality, and the attribution of administrative action. The Jurist 4.0 contributes to the design of AI systems by defining legally relevant criteria and ensuring effective human oversight in accordance with the GDPR and the AI Act. Responsibility therefore extends beyond individual outputs to the organization of the decision-making process itself. In the private sector, particularly within law firms, generative AI automates activities such as legal drafting and database analysis, while creating risks of improper delegation of professional judgment and reduced transparency. The Jurist 4.0 consequently performs an internal governance function through critical supervision, training, organizational policies, and transparency toward clients. The European regulatory framework requires accountability and human oversight regardless of the accuracy of individual outputs. AI adoption thus entails a reorganization of roles and responsibilities, positioning the jurist as the actor responsible for the ethical, legal, and technical integration of automated systems. The Jurist 4.0 is therefore essential to preserve transparency, reliability, and human responsibility in legally relevant decisions.

Abstract
The Jurist 4.0 is therefore essential to preserve transparency, reliability, and human responsibility in legally relevant decisions.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
