The Urban Security is taking on an increasingly central role in urban policies and is a prerequisite for the creation of sustainable cities and communities, as stated in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda, in particular SDG 11. The pursuit of safe conditions requires, in order to obtain effective results, the integration of the different universally recognized approaches: the situational approach, the social approach and the environmental approach. The latter is a preventive practice focused on the urban environment and its potential to hinder illegal behavior and convey trust to settled communities. This approach, initially focused only on the physical characteristics of spaces and on the protection of the most vulnerable areas, has been enriched over time with new elements, also opening up to the social dimension. Based on these assumptions, the Security Town through Urban Planning (SeTUP) research, a PRIN 2022 PNRR project, produced a decision support system to facilitate the integration of crime risk mitigation actions into urban planning strategies.

Abstract
Based on these assumptions, the Security Town through Urban Planning (SeTUP) research, a PRIN 2022 PNRR project, produced a decision support system to facilitate the integration of crime risk mitigation actions into urban planning strategies.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
