A historical account of the meteorological observations carried out in Naples in the XIX century is here presented. The emphasis is on the wide activity conducted by scholars from the scientific institutions existing in the Neapolitan area, ranging from measurements of pressure, temperature, humidity, wind (direction and strength), rain and atmospheric electricity to observations of the state of clouds, and other phenomena related to the climate of Naples. A discussion of instruments as well as observation protocols is provided, as inferred from original articles and records. In particular, a preliminary report is given, concerning the observational activity pursued within the Royal Gabinetto Fisico and testified by a handful of archival documents.

In particular, a preliminary report is given, concerning the observational activity pursued within the Royal Gabinetto Fisico and testified by a handful of archival documents.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
