This paper aims to discern and evaluate Callimachus’ influence on a selection of Greek epigraphic poems. The wide geographical and chronological span of the inscriptions discussed, ranging from Cyrene to Arabia and extending from the 3rd-2nd centuries BCE to the 3rd-4th centuries CE, suggests that Callimachus’ works enjoyed a broad and lasting reception in not only literary, but also inscriptional poetry.
