Political Representation and Action: Conceptions of Political Participation Among Youth in Bogotá and Naples in Comparative Perspective

This study examines social representations of political participation among Italian and Colombian university students and their associations with participatory behaviours, perceived anomie, and self-efficacy. Using a mixed-methods design, differences emerge by political orientation and context, showing that distance from institutional channels reflects diverse meanings of participation rather than youth apathy.
