In this paper, the challenges of dynamic pickup and delivery (P&D) problems are addressed by proposing an alternative approach based on dynamic auctions. The use of auctions allows for efficient task assignment among automated guided vehicles (AGVs), enabling optimal workload distribution and improved system performance. The proposed model incorporates real-time task insertion into ongoing auctions, considering the impact on AGVs' existing work schedules. The objective is to minimize the overall makespan and distance traveled, ensuring efficient task execution and continuous system optimization. Preliminary results indicate significant improvements in system performance, including enhanced capability to handle new tasks and overall operational efficiency.

Abstract
In this paper, the challenges of dynamic pickup and delivery (P&D) problems are addressed by proposing an alternative approach based on dynamic auctions. The use of auctions allows for efficient task assignment among automated guided vehicles (AGVs), enabling optimal workload distribution and improved system performance. The proposed model incorporates real-time task insertion into ongoing auctions, considering the impact on AGVs' existing work schedules. The objective is to minimize the overall makespan and distance traveled, ensuring efficient task execution and continuous system optimization. Preliminary results indicate significant improvements in system performance, including enhanced capability to handle new tasks and overall operational efficiency.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
