Research on nations and nationalism in Imperial Russia has undergone great developments in the last thirty years following the end of the Soviet Union, stimulated by the reception of the debates on national identity and nationalism. The emergence of innovative research on Russian National-conservative organizations in the Late Imperial age has contributed to a more accurate reconstruction of the Russian political debate of the early twentieth century. The text offers the reader a selection of the main works and research on the subject, analyzing their interpretative keys and issues.
