Corvino+Multari. Architecture in dialogue with the city

Edited by Pierre-Alain Croset, the volume retraces thirty years of work by Vincenzo Corvino (1965) and Giovanni Multari (1963), while highlighting the ethical and methodological values that underpin their practice. In conversation with the editor, Corvino and Multari explain how, in the face of major challenges such as ecological transition and urban regeneration, the social role and the very craft of the architect must undergo a profound renewal. By revealing the individual contributions of each author, the book’s narrative structure is built upon a continuous dialogue between theory and practice, history and future, design and society — in harmony with the character of the two architects’ work itself. Ultimately, the volume offers a reflection on the meaning of making architecture today, on the architect’s role within society, and on the value of design as a critical, civic, and cultural tool.
