The Libera Università dell’Autobiografia (LUA) of Anghiari was established in 1998 as a cultural association, born from the encounter between Saverio Tutino, founder of the Archivio dei Diari di Pieve Santo Stefano [National Diary Archive of Pieve Santo Stefano], and Duccio Demetrio, a scholar of autobiography and then professor at the University of Milano-Bicocca, who formalized the founding of a community dedicated to training, research, and the dissemination of a culture of writing and memory.
