In this paper the problem of link failure detection in multiple-input, multiple-output wireless networks is addressed. Space-time coding of the probing signal is performed to optimize the detection capabilities, and the convex combination of the Kullback-Leibler divergences between the densities of the observations under the two hypotheses is minimized under a constraint on the transmitted energy. A closed form expression of the structure of the optimum code-matrix is found, and a simple numerical algorithm to find the optimal power allocation is given.

Abstract
In this paper the problem of link failure detection in multiple-input, multiple-output wireless networks is addressed. Space-time coding of the probing signal is performed to optimize the detection capabilities, and the convex combination of the Kullback-Leibler divergences between the densities of the observations under the two hypotheses is minimized under a constraint on the transmitted energy. A closed form expression of the structure of the optimum code-matrix is found, and a simple numerical algorithm to find the optimal power allocation is given.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
