The main object of this study is to evaluate, in the area of Campi Flegrei (Italy), the relationship among the geochemical data of fumaroles, the microearthquakes and the ground deformations, to obtain a statistically valid tool able to establish which of the analysed variables can be considered a signal of the Bradyseismic events evolution. Starting from the analyses of the Campi Flegrei ground deformation trend, between the years 1983 and 1992, a comparative and statistical methodology was developed.

Abstract

The main object of this study is to evaluate, in the area of Campi Flegrei (Italy), the relationship among the geochemical data of fumaroles, the microearthquakes and the ground deformations, to obtain a statistically valid tool able to establish which of the analysed variables can be considered a signal of the Bradyseismic events evolution. Starting from the analyses of the Campi Flegrei ground deformation trend, between the years 1983 and 1992, a comparative and statistical methodology was developed.
