The breakup cross section of the System Li-6 + Pb-208 has been measured at four beam energies close to the Coulomb barrier and the excitation energy distributions of the alpha + d/Li-6* system have been deduced. Comparison of the experimental data with two different theoretical approaches strongly supports the direct breakup process description.

Abstract

The breakup cross section of the System Li-6 + Pb-208 has been measured at four beam energies close to the Coulomb barrier and the excitation energy distributions of the alpha + d/Li-6* system have been deduced. Comparison of the experimental data with two different theoretical approaches strongly supports the direct breakup process description.
