Consistently with the The TEN-T (Trans-European Networks - Transport) strategies, aimed at improving the quality of transport infrastructures in terms of accessibility, safety and sat- isfaction of transport demand through the efficient use of pre-existing infra- structure, the paper proposes to apply a multi-methodological approach for evaluating the potentials of the Valsesia abandoned railway system. More specifically, the goal of the study is to verify whether it is convenient their reuse or whether it is better to develop the bus line as it has recently happened.
