This project consists in the design of an innovative payload instrument onboard of a cubesat. The cubesat mission is to detect exoplanets through the photometric method. The ultimate goal would be to reveal Earth-like planets around Sun-like stars. Another mission objective is to discriminate between planet transit and false positive events (fake signals). The original element of this imaging payload is a four facets round base pyramid on the top of the instrument. This additional component enables to get redundant transit measurements, and to get also spectral information to identify astronomical false positive events. In this paper there is a preliminary verification that the limiting magnitude in the target star is 3. © 2016, American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. All rights reserved.
