The work deals with the study of bioincrustations in a church close the sea. Microorganisms composing the bioincrustations were identified by using optical and electron microscopy, as well as by a molecular approach and a SEM microanalysis. Halophilic cyanobacteria and several species of algae belonging to Chlorococcales and diatoms resulted the main components of the bioincrustations.
