Abstract

The effect of diffusivities on the coexistence problem for predator-prey Beddington-DeAngelis model is studied. The analysis is essentially based on the use of a peculiar Liapunov functional for which the sign of the time derivative along the solutions is linked directly to the eigenvalues of the linear problem.
